1980 Ferrari 308 GTSi | Birmingham, Staffordshire

A 1980 Ferrari 308 GTSi, the fuel-injected, targa-roof version of Ferrari's compact mid-engined V8 two-seater. The model is liked for its low Pininfarina body and removable roof panel, and for its screen history: Magnum, P.I. used 1981 GTSi cars from its second season to its sixth. This car is red with a beige interior, a warm pairing against the low, wedge-shaped body. It is left-hand drive: the driver sits on the kerb side and the front passenger steps out on the road side, which also gives it a continental look in shot. As on every GTSi, the black roof panel lifts out and stows behind the seats, so the same car can be shown roof-on or roof-off.
