1999 BMW E39 540 M Sport | Corfe Mullen, Dorset

This is a 1999 BMW E39 540 M Sport, the V8 version of the late-1990s 5 Series saloon. The E39 is liked for mixing executive-car comfort with a sporting feel, and the 540 adds a 4.4-litre V8 with the sound to match. A 540i also appeared in Chosen, one of BMW's The Hire short films. This car is black with a black interior, a dark and uniform look that keeps reflections clean and puts the focus on the saloon's lines. The M Sport specification gives it a more purposeful stance than a standard executive 5 Series. Film and TV productions set in the late 1990s or early 2000s get a V8 executive saloon that reads as period straight away. Photographers and advertising crews have a sleek black body with a sporting stance in front of the lens, and events have a dark, understated car to arrive in. It also suits a wedding or a special occasion. The car is based in Corfe Mullen, Dorset.
