1977 Alfa Romeo Alfetta | Debenham, Suffolk

The Alfetta is the Italian sports saloon Alfa Romeo launched in 1972, named after its Tipo 158 racing cars. It is liked for its balance: the gearbox sits at the rear axle, which gives near-even weight distribution, and the rear brakes are mounted inboard. That layout is why it is still remembered for its handling. This 1977 car is blue with a tan and beige interior, a warm contrast that gives it a clear period feel. It is in good condition and seats four, enough for a couple and two guests. Its 1970s Italian character suits period film and TV, music videos and fashion or editorial shoots, where blue paint against tan trim photographs well. Adverts and events can use it as a backdrop with a continental look.
